Natives of Jackson, Tennessee Lo-Key (Born Keon Marquis McNeal on March 5, 1993) and L.B. (Born Ariel LaToya Mays on January 14, 1992) are stars in the making. The two cousins began pursuing their dreams of being stars at the tender age of 12 and 13. Initially they were separately working on getting to the next level. When they found out they both had an interest in music, performing, writing, and recording they made the power move to become “Da Yungins”. The name stands for “Da Young Urban New Group in the New South”. They began performing in 2004 at local area talent shows. As their popularity grew from winning many of these contests they would later be invited back as featured guest. The duo is focused on more than just music. Their style is representative of the young urban teens all around the world. “Da Yungins” classify their music as “Swag Muzik”. Their core audience can easily relate to the lyrics of their songs while dancing and nodding their heads to the infectious beats. They are constantly working at their craft by writing and listening to various artists. They are inspired to create their brand of music by the lifestyles they live and their belief that they don’t have to copy anyone else to be successful.
